The mall was alive with light. Stores glowed and everything looked ordinary – except them. A group of people walked in perfect unison, their faces stretched into silent screams, eyes black and endless.

Shoppers passed without notice, but I couldn’t look away. Every step they took was toward me, their mouths open wider than skin should allow. The lights didn’t flicker. The signs didn’t change. The only thing wrong was them – and the way I knew they had already chosen me

The laundromat was too quiet. Machines stood still, the only sound was the faint hum of the fluorescent lights. I thought I was alone until I noticed movement – not in the aisles, but between the machines. A figure leaned just far enough to be seen, its skin stretched thin over a frame too long, too still. It didn’t move closer, didn’t speak. It only watched.
